Cancellation of Removal

Many illegal
aliens who have been living in the United States for a number of
years are threatened with deportation. Their spouses and/or
children, who are citizens, may suffer from a variety of
traumatically induced regressive/pathological cognitive and
psychosocial outcomes that could constitute extreme and unusual
hardship.
Dr. Stutman,
as an impartial expert, evaluates the immigrant regarding his or her
character, the spouse for possible psychological consequences to
threatened or actual separation, and the citizen children for
possible traumatic effects of parental absence. A Psychological
Evaluation may document these potential consequences.
Dr. Stutman, along with co-author P Brady-Amoon, has
recently written the definitive article on how to evaluate the
psychological hardship of qualifying relatives, when securing an
intact family structure is an appropriate intervention. It will soon
to be published in the Journal of Forensic Psychology Practice:
“Supporting
dependent relatives of undocumented immigrants through
cancellation of removal and waivers of inadmissibility/excludability.”
