Psychotherapy
Dr.
Gabrielle Stutman has advanced training in individual psychodynamic
and cognitive/behavioral psychotherapy, hypnotherapy, and
couples/family therapy. She has published technical and theoretical
articles in the areas of psychoanalysis and hypnotherapy, and has
over 20 years of experience with children and adolescents, young and
older adults. Because she is expert in so many techniques, and
experienced with such a diverse population, she is not restricted to
a single approach. Her interventions are individually selected to
facilitate your unique progress toward growth and healing.
Dr.
Stutman describes what happens in therapy with her: “The process
begins when you make an appointment for a 45-minute initial
meeting. I’ll ask what you want help with. Then, after listening
to your answer, and perhaps some additional clarification, we’ll
discuss how it might best be addressed, and decide whether to work
together.”
Psychotherapy has been proven to be helpful with emotional
difficulties such as anxiety and depression. It can also improve
your ability to succeed in school, work, and relationships.
